WordAcuity is a product of Undercurve, LLC (“Undercurve”, “we”, “us”). These terms govern your use of the WordAcuity app and website. By using WordAcuity, you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy, which explains what data the app collects.

Using WordAcuity

Undercurve grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for your own practice and enjoyment. Don't abuse the service: no attempting to disrupt our servers, manipulate standings, reverse-engineer the app, or use it for anything unlawful. Display names in multiplayer rooms must not be offensive or impersonate others.

WordAcuity Pro subscriptions

WordAcuity Pro is offered as an auto-renewing annual subscription (with a 7-day free trial), an auto-renewing monthly subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase. Current prices are shown in the app before you buy.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
Manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your device's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
Deleting the app or deleting your data does not cancel a subscription — cancellation happens through Apple.

Your content and standings

Daily standings and multiplayer results are shown under generated (or self-chosen, in Arena) display names. We may remove entries or restrict access where we believe scores were obtained by cheating or automation — keeping standings fair is part of the product.

Availability and changes

Solo practice works offline, but online features (Daily standings, Arena, sync) depend on our servers and third-party services and may occasionally be unavailable. We may update, change, or discontinue features over time. If we make material changes to these terms, we'll update this page and the date above.

Disclaimers

WordAcuity is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of WordAcuity is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing affects your statutory rights, including any rights to refunds under the rules of the App Store.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of WordAcuity will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Washington, and you consent to their jurisdiction — except where the law of your place of residence gives you a non-waivable right to bring claims elsewhere.
