For players who have outgrown the box
A Boggle alternative that coaches you to get better.
If you love the letter grid but want more than a score that vanishes when the sand runs out, WordAcuity is built for you. Same kind of board. A coach that helps you improve.
Free to play on iPhone and iPad. No account needed.
What stays the same
Everything that makes a word grid worth playing. You will feel at home in the first ten seconds.
- A grid of letters, 4×4 to start, with a timer.
- Trace connected tiles, diagonals included, each tile once per word.
- Three letters minimum; longer words score more.
- A real dictionary: based on the ENABLE list, the standard for serious word-game players.
- Play alone, or against people you know.
- No account, no sign-up, nothing to join.
What changes when the clock stops
The box game ends with a tally. In WordAcuity, that is where the coaching starts.

Who it is for
People who play word grids and want to get better at them. Puzzle players who want a Daily they can compare with friends. Anyone who has finished a round, seen the word list, and thought I should have had that.
It is not a party game with timers that shout, and it does not pester you with streak warnings. It respects your attention and coaches you to get better.
Common questions
Is WordAcuity the same game as Boggle?
No. WordAcuity is an independent word-grid game. It shares the familiar idea of tracing connected letters on a grid against a clock, but it is built around coaching you to get better. Boggle is a trademark of Hasbro, Inc., which is not affiliated with WordAcuity in any way.
Can I play for free?
Yes. The 4×4 game, the Acuity rating, the headline analytics, the official Daily, and the first Coach lessons are free on iPhone and iPad. Pro adds 5×5 and 6×6 boards, the full Coach library, all-time Lab history, and unlimited Daily practice.
Do I need an account?
No. Signing in with Apple or Google is optional and only syncs your history across devices.
Which dictionary does it use?
The ENABLE word list, trimmed to three to sixteen letters, with definitions available in the app.
